I turned ... evil. IfyoutellAdriennethatIwillkillyou. And I got stuck in this circus where my powers got put on overload. Every single animal continues to hate me.
And I got a job at a casino dealing cards.
Then there are the random curses that just decide to make life... interesting.
no subject
Your powers got put on overload? That sounds like hell.
And you work at a casino? Weird. But what kind of curses?
no subject
It's something to do. It's different. And I can have the night shift.
Oh. Well... there's everything from making people talk about whatever's on their mind, switching powers around, making them think they're pirates, only able to talk in chat speak or Lol Cat. Around Christmas the twelve days of Christmas came alive. And then there was this infestation of dragons... A rain of photographs from people's past or future.

[He rolls his eyes.]
Okay, I've got to get a lab set up here. This sounds fascinating.
no subject
[They're his minions. At least he didn't mention the ghost dragon.]
You want really fascinating you should see the carousel in the center of town. Apparently as long as it ticks all of reality doesn't go boom.
no subject
[That is not the good smile.]
So, you're going to play tour guide, right?
no subject
You know, you look kinda like Enne right before she gets to cause massive amounts of pain to someone who deserves it when you smile like that.
And yes, I'll play tour guide.
no subject
[He holds up his stick.]
Take me to this carousel.
no subject
[He gives an overly dramatic bow.]
Right this way.

[He follows Theo.]

[Theo can see Anna rolling her eyes at that description of her.]
Apparently the ticking noise can drive you insane... as if you'd be able to tell the difference ... if you stay by yourself too long.
no subject
[He perks up.]
Well, that makes sense. If it's that intimately connected with reality, it's definitely going to have some peripheral effects.
no subject
It certainly had some effects when the clock stopped ticking last month.

So. The clock stopped ticking for short while, I don't remember for how long, I think maybe an hour. A huge bunch of earthquakes followed until it started up again.
Then when this new group of deities - there was a coup - tried to stop the curses the City started dying and the clock started going haywire.

[He just arrived. Can't speculate yet.]
no subject
They -the coup people, they're calling themselves Anonymous - have been mucking about with the clock. They say they're better than the old regime but...
no subject
Stop being so vague. But-ominous-ellipse-pause what?
no subject
I'm not sure yet though. Not enough information. They're probably going to be as bad as the last group.
no subject
[He snorts. Thanks, Terry Pratchett.]
But that would make sense, especially if there's been unrest over the old leaders.
no subject
[They come to a square with a merry-go-round and a ticking noise. It's hard to miss but people seem to be avoiding it anyway.]
There it is.
no subject
[He heads over, stick at the ready.]
no subject
[Theo wonders if he should stop Adrian.]
