[Crap icing on a crap cake, this is the story of her life. Again. Always have to yank her in the middle of doing something important. Okay, so a date isn't like saving the world, it isn't be-all, end-all, but it sure as hell felt like it.

She's huffing already, sweeping off her top hat with a flourish and considering throwing it to the ground and stomping on it like a gigantic baby. Instead, she just kicks at the fountain and scuffs a really expensive heel in the process and looks mildly mortified about it.]

Someone -- [Which you seem to be that lucky one, since she's dramatically gesturing in your vicinity, boy oh boy!] -- needs to buy me a drink, as much as I hate repeating my introductions. A drink and some Joy Division would be swell.
