Actually there's a reason. Let's call it...

THE CAKEPIE MEME
There are no picakens in Poly - here they're ALL CAKEPIE!

1. Post your character.
2. Everyone tells you what kind of food they associate with your character.
3. Everyone gets hungry.
4. Profit. [For whichever cafe, snack shop or vending machine is closest to you.]
5. Recipe sharing is optional.

Because it tastes like roses, or because it's excellent for tempting questionably respectable dark-haired young Englishmen into sin?

Either one, or both, really.

You're terrible.

Actually, it's nothing short of miraculous, since Cain is none too fond of the smell of roses... ROSELLA, YOU HAVE POWER.

Hey, hey, she actively tries not to smell like them around him, okay. I mean, not that she's very successful at it when you figure that the Warehouse is basically ROSES EVERYWHERE, but she's okay with resorting to her second-favorites if it means making him more comfortable. >>

Enough exposure, you know, any maybe he'll get over his Pavlovian responses...

All things considered, she might be able to hit like three of them at once, given that she's pretty much a hat trick of his issues: roses, sweet things, and girls with blue eyes and a long string of near-death experiences.

WELP, ALL THE MORE REASON TO TRY.

Actually, you know, every so often you can find things flavored with lavender (see above for a cookie recipe associated with Cain that involves lavender) and rosewater and violets. I think anything derived from a flower or a plant is Rosella territory. Sugared violets, rose tea, lavender-flavored cakes, even vanilla and cinnamon. But it has to be sweet stuff. So sugar and cinnamon, not just cinnamon. Sugared violets on tiny cakes. That sort of thing: floral and sweet alike.

And that just made me realize that someone needs to introduce her to sugar flowers. If only because the mental image of her "picking" one and kind of holding it for a minute and then taking a bite out of it is hilarious to me.

Flower icon used for dramatic effect.

OH HEY IT IS, ACTUALLY. I was going to have her post about that today, too, as a matter of fact...

Her cake needs to actually be a cakepie with sugar flowers. MAKE IT SO.

...my mind keeps trying to count up the calories in something like that and it just BREAKS.

Luckily, this is for Rosella, who weighs approximately three pounds soaking wet and therefore is immune to the threat of an overconsumption of calories.

Now, the sugar rush, on the other hand...
