BUCKLE UP: A TEST DRIVE MEME

Been feeling as if you'd sort of, kind of, maybe like to consider a new character at Poly? Haven't had the chance to figure out whether they work for you in the setting or in general?

Just start a thread for them here with:

- in the title, and tag around! Alternatively, just comment to someone else's thread, either doing your own thing, assuming characters just met in the City, or maybe working off one of the following premises:

i. ...it's raining people! The character whom you're tagging missed the memo about perfect Fountain landings and ended up falling on your character instead.

OR

ii. ...ah, a lovely evening at a City shop or bar, when you've just realized you don't have the currency to pay your tab and you have to beg or steal it off someone else!

OR

iii. ...your characters are running up an endlessly high hill from a herd of rabid pandas.

Naturally, the meme is more than open to people who aren't currently at Poly, so pimp this to poor souls you're hoping to enable, it's the perfect time to lure'im in ♥

Actually, he's working, but he's always working. He's just seldom visible and seldom on his motorcycle. He's not even wearing his helmet this time. Tsk. ]

[That does make him feel better, much better indeed; which might run counter to conventional logic, because a cowboy on a horse is a strong sign that wherever he is, he's far from home. But indeed he is grinning up at you, nameless cowboy.]

[ A rather upset looking French woman -- dripping wet, so from the looks of it, she just fell in the fountain -- is wandering the street, eyes darting to look for the source of the slightest noise even as she's warily taking in her surroundings. Arms tenderly wrapped in gauze are crossed over her middle; an attempt to perhaps maintain some warmth or because she feels vulnerable, possibly a combination of both, and her fingernails scratch subconsciously at the skin of one forearm.

The reassuring weight of the shotgun usually in her hand is missing, and whether or not the lack of a weapon is a good thing is up for debate - for her, it means she's jumpier and more apprehensive than usual. For whoever decides to approach her, it means they won't get a hole blown through their chest before they've even been given the chance to open their mouth. ]

Of course, for my purposes a cow is more useful. But I wonder if Peter would like to go riding... [He looks up again, a bit more serious now.] My son. Peter Bishop. I'm looking for my son.

That said, he's a man wearing a hat that makes him look like a cowboy (he's not), with golden eyes and sharp teeth that make him look like a vampire (close enough), and who's can be out in the daylight (and not burning) or out at night. ]
