Been feeling as if you'd sort of, kind of, maybe like to consider a new character at Poly? Haven't had the chance to figure out whether they work for you in the setting or in general?
Just start a thread for them here with:
- in the title, and tag around! Alternatively, just comment to someone else's thread, either doing your own thing, assuming characters just met in the City, or maybe working off one of the following premises:
i. ...it's raining people! The character whom you're tagging missed the memo about perfect Fountain landings and ended up falling on your character instead.
OR
ii. ...ah, a lovely evening at a City shop or bar, when you've just realized you don't have the currency to pay your tab and you have to beg or steal it off someone else!
OR
iii. ...your characters are running up an endlessly high hill from a herd of rabid pandas.
Naturally, the meme is more than open to people who aren't currently at Poly, so pimp this to poor souls you're hoping to enable, it's the perfect time to lure'im in ♥

Hello.

[An idle twitch of the rope in his hand; the cow flicks an ear but doesn't even look up. Cows are cool like that.]
A lovely animal. [The horse, not the cow just now, though the cow gets her share of compliments when necessary. Walter takes a step closer to thoughtfully offer a hand-- to the horse, not the man-- to be snuffled.]
Of course, for my purposes a cow is more useful. But I wonder if Peter would like to go riding... [He looks up again, a bit more serious now.] My son. Peter Bishop. I'm looking for my son.

Haven't seen 'im.

That, now, that... is... unfortunate,
[he murmurs, falling silent a moment before brightening again. After all, he's an adult. He has a cow. There's no reason to assume he can't take care of this on his own. (Except, you know, all evidence to the contrary. Like the fact that he's lost. In a completely new universe. And has to deal with dragging around a cow.)]
Do you know of anywhere I could get a good milkshake?
[Fortification for the struggles ahead, you know.]

That cow, maybe. If she's willing.

[His tone implies that the lab would be preferable.]

[Aaaaaaaaand that's his quota of advice. And, really, he does mean anything--even milkshakes.]

[He means the milkshake, in the immediate sense, though really what he hopes to find is Peter. But obviously the cowboy can't help with that. He ought to think to say thank you, but, well, he's preoccupied.]

Cowboy tugs on the brim of his hat--call it tipping his hat.]
So long.
[And he rides on.]
