Been feeling as if you'd sort of, kind of, maybe like to consider a new character at Poly? Haven't had the chance to figure out whether they work for you in the setting or in general?

Just start a thread for them here with:

- in the title, and tag around! Alternatively, just comment to someone else's thread, either doing your own thing, assuming characters just met in the City, or maybe working off one of the following premises:

i. ...it's raining people! The character whom you're tagging missed the memo about perfect Fountain landings and ended up falling on your character instead.

ii. ...ah, a lovely evening at a City shop or bar, when you've just realized you don't have the currency to pay your tab and you have to beg or steal it off someone else!

iii. ...your characters are running up an endlessly high hill from a herd of rabid pandas.

[But said good-naturedly and with a knowing curve to her lips because, really, this is Luna. And she does have her way with words. And perhaps this is a different Luna to the one she remembers; Ginny doesn't know nor does she care—she's long past worrying over timelines when all she knows is time itself is limited. So why waste it over the when's that can't be helped?]

How are you? Doing alright? How's home and your dad?

Oh, I'm fine. Dad's fine, too. We've been planning a trip before the semester starts again, though I'd like to fix up my room first. [ Said as if her house blowing up was a minor inconvenience. ]

A trip to find, er, some crumple-horned snorkacks, then?

[She tries. Merlin knows she tries to remember those Lovegoodisms.]

I'd like to help you with that, if I remember.

No, we're going to save that for after I graduate. We'll probably just go to see if we can find some dabberblimps instead.

[She's genuinely curious, too. Not just about the dabberblimps but, yes, time. She can't quite tell if Luna is just being Luna or perhaps strategically avoiding something. The girl is Ravenclaw for a reason, not to mention she helped her and Neville lead the DA when the Carrows took over their castle—she's known for a long time not to underestimate Luna Lovegood or to think she's sussed her out. Because she hasn't and nor, she thinks, she never quite will.]

I'd like that. I mean, we've no reason not to spend the summers together after it's all over, right? I've always thought it a bit silly that we didn't before, not really. But then again, with Mum the way she is and the war too, I would've had to dig a tunnel with the gnomes to get out of the Burrow.

Maybe. They like the water. I asked the merpeople at Hogwarts to look out for them, but so far they haven't seen any.

I'd imagine it gets rather quiet up there. It's never quiet at home, and even then, we've got the village. It's good of you to keep your dad company. [Hurriedly,] He'll be alright, by the way. With you being here, I mean—time doesn't move on without you back home.

Owl me whenever you go somewhere new, alright?

He won't, I promise. Can you imagine if they noticed us missing? Mum would be a wreck.

Sure. I'll see if I can take some pictures.

She can be quite frightening, your mum.

[Ginny cocks her head a fraction, then simply laughs, dragging the other witch into a tight hug.]

Merlin, Luna—it really is brilliant to see you again. You've no idea how long it's been.

[ Oh-- Luna blinks rather rapidly before wrapping her arms around Ginny, squeezing back. ]

I'm sorry if I kept you waiting.

[Look, Weasleys can be a very physically affectionate bunch, alright? Look at Molly.]

Oh, don't. The only one who ought to be saying that is Harry. [It's half a joke, but she's more than used to it by now.] You're fine.

[ Luna's not going to shy away from the physical contact. It's Ginny, after all. They're friends. ]
