Been feeling as if you'd sort of, kind of, maybe like to consider a new character at Poly? Haven't had the chance to figure out whether they work for you in the setting or in general?
Just start a thread for them here with:
- in the title, and tag around! Alternatively, just comment to someone else's thread, either doing your own thing, assuming characters just met in the City, or maybe working off one of the following premises:
i. ...it's raining people! The character whom you're tagging missed the memo about perfect Fountain landings and ended up falling on your character instead.
OR
ii. ...ah, a lovely evening at a City shop or bar, when you've just realized you don't have the currency to pay your tab and you have to beg or steal it off someone else!
OR
iii. ...your characters are running up an endlessly high hill from a herd of rabid pandas.
Naturally, the meme is more than open to people who aren't currently at Poly, so pimp this to poor souls you're hoping to enable, it's the perfect time to lure'im in ♥

[There's something slightly unsettling about her. Charley can't quite put his finger on it. It's not the clothes. It's not even the red hood (because seriously, Little Red Riding Hood? There's weird and then there's completely high, and he's not big on the drugs.]
Looks like a cellphone. [He nods to the thing in her hand. Just in case her tech knowledge matches her clothes, he adds:] You talk on it and stuff.

'And stuff', [ she murmurs half to herself, watching a video of someone falling into a fountain. ] like these small moving pictures.
[ Again that seems half said to herself but then she looks up properly at the young man again and frees one of her hands to offer toward him. ] People call me Red.
You are?

[He takes her hand and shakes, trying not to think to much about "hood" and "Red" in combination.] Hey, Red.
People who like me call me Charley.

And the people who don't like you...?

Chuckles. [beat] Please don't tell me you already hate me enough to call me Chuckles, Red.

No, I definitely don't. But that's...an odd name to indicate dislike.
In any case, you're 'Charley' to me.
[ She pauses before trying to hand him the device. ]
Do you want this? I don't understand it.
[ So in short, for the immediate moment, it won't be any use to her. As she offers it to him, a stray dog trots up. It looks a bit wild and worse for the wear, but once it reaches Red all the dog does is whine and butt its head against her skirt. She scratches behind its ears. ]

[Red is officially okay by him. He accepts the device.]
I can look at it, sure, but I get the feeling it's meant for you.
[The dog gets a skeptical look (Red, hood, wolf) before Charley remembers that fairy tales aren't real.] Is he yours?
no subject
Meant for me? Why do you think so?
[ Another pause and she straightens back to standing, though her hand notably sort of hovers lightly on the dog's crown, which seems fine with the dog. The casual smile meant for Charley softens a little with her next answer, not quite sad though almost. ]
And no, he's not. In fact, I don't think he's anyone's.
[ Just a feeling, though the dog whines almost in confirmation. ]

Huh? Oh, just... I've been talking to people. This place has some weird magic thing and everyone gets a free phone as a consolation prize for being kidnapped or something.
[That's strange and cryptic, Red.]
He likes you, though. Maybe he decided he's your dog.
