Bucky & Amy: He adores her in his gruff, over-protective, drunken way? It's not as deep and soul-matey as Eleven is, but he really counts her as on his side and one of the team and he would probably fuck up anyone who ever did anything wrong by her? She reminds him of himself, with the way they act, and he kind of feels like she's a super kindred spirit? As well as being someone he can have a right old laugh with and be a general jerk around.

Eleven & Amy: Amelia, Amelia. They are fucking soul-mates, I don't even care, people can bring it. He loves Amy, she's all at once his best friend and his family and I jones on their friendship so much. There isn't much he wouldn't do for her? I think their relationship is so important to him, she brings out the best in him and rekindles a love with the universe that he's been missing the last few years.

Eleven & Ivy: HE IS CURIOUS. And thinks she's adorable. And should come to the hat shop to visit the cat, nbd.

Oh god, okay, bear with me while I blurt all my feelings out in some kind of epic rainbow, pain-infused thing. Steve is Bucky's best friend, and that's what he tells everyone, because no matter what that's how it's always going to be. I think they're soul-mates, but it's an abstract kind of belonging for Bucky because he wouldn't know what that meant? He just knows Steve is his and he's Steve's and no matter what form that takes, that's how it is. They belong together. He'd do anything for him, he'd follow him anywhere, and for Bucky he means that?

Steve could walk into Mordor and Bucky'd probably follow and bitch out anyone who'd be like, YO, YOU GUYS CAN'T WALK THAT WAY.

I think he's also kind of dependent on Steve? I mean, he'd be fine without him, but to be a good, happy, healthy human being, Bucky needs him. Steve kind of completes him, makes him the person he is.

ALSO HE LOVES HIIIIIIIIIM. And hates they can't be together properly.

Except for how he doesn't. Being here has given him a lot of time to get over himself and the fear that Howard's taking Steve away? And they clash less. I mean Bucky's not going to stop being a jerk any time soon, because that's who he is, but underneath all that science dickness, Howard could easily be someone he considers a friend if they ever get to that point.
