Right, where to begin? Howard loves Charlie - Lena - and he actually finds it easy to pay attention to her. People are foreign creatures to Howard most of the time, he puts on a good show, but when it comes to getting involved and remembering to pay attention, he is the worst. He makes so many people angry because he fails to notice too much, but with Charlie it's easy, and he enjoys her company. He doesn't know every aspect of her life, and he should really ask more things, get to know her better, and make the effort to spend more time with her. But the fact that he wants to do those things and mean it without saying it to say what people want to hear is really something.

He does better with inanimate objects than he does with people, and they can't slap him across the face or call him out on every mistake, and he loves that she doesn't do that, but she also doesn't take no crap from him either. It really would be great to play with his personality better, and I should seriously write out some headcanon to keep track of and build on, and with Charlie I discover things about him that just happen that I never even think of otherwise.

She is just his favourite, okay? She always has time for him, and she's patient with his weird way of going about things, so she will always be.
