Kazu kind of adores Elmer. Not as if that's super-obvious or anything, but yeah! He thinks Elmer's a cool guy, doesn't necessarily always take him seriously (because nobody needs to smile that much), but in general is pretty happy to have him around as part of Kogarasumaru. Sure, he still has moments where he wonders if Elmer's not in fact batshit insane, but let's face it: his best friend is a guy who pulls his pants down to better his tricks and has a crow living in his hair. So Kazu gets over those pretty fast. And overall they get along pretty well, dinosaur and tiger contests not withstanding.

He's particularly weak for this type of person at the moment both because things are a bit complicated with his teammates from home at the moment and because, at least in terms of personal goals, Kazu's been kind of... floating. They're not quite at the point where he'd want to talk to Elmer about any of the things that're dragging at him, just because Kazu has a very firm Denial Policy in place on all the shit that goes down in the City. But it's still... nice. To be absolutely and simply friends with somebody, and to have someone around who acts like the world will turn out all right and actually believes it. He's starting to default a little to the idea of going to Elmer when things are going wrong. Not to have them fixed, but just to have somebody for whom he doesn't have to worry about playing support or strength. It's a little embarrassing how much he trusts Elmer to tell him good things.

TL;DR - Elmer has a puppy. It'll bite anybody who ever crosses him.
