Have a whole bunch of stray muses kicking around? Ever wondered about how one (or more!) of them would play out here at [community profile] poly_chromatic? Well, wonder no more! Welcome to the test drive meme! Here's how this is gonna roll.

  • Start a thread with your test drive character! You know the drill, just mark the character's name and canon in the comment subject, and/or...


  • Tag around to other people's threads! Play it like your character has just arrived in the City, as if you've already met, or...


  • Pick from the list below - or use an RNG if you prefer - to hit a character with one of the City's curses! Is one character cursed? Both? Are they cursed with the same or different curses? That's all up to you!

    1. Did It Hurt When You Fell From Heaven? Whether they're suave, awkward, good, or just plain horrible, citizens find themselves unable to stop speaking in the language of pickup lines.


    2. Average Joe Day Those in the City with supernatural skills or powers, suddenly find themselves quite normal.


    3. My Dirty Little Secret The one thing a character never wanted anyone to know is the one thing they feel compelled to talk about all day.


    4. 5 7 5 Citizens will find themselves speaking only in the 5-7-5 syllable format.


    5. Caffeinated Day All affected citizens will find that any liquid they drink has much more caffeine than usual.


    6. It’s a Boat, it’s a Bug, it’s Ours Citizens realize they’ve given birth to a child, regardless of their sex - only the child is an object, which they treat as if they were their own flesh and blood.


    7. Sing and Shout! Citizens burst into song of pop, rock, opera, or musical caliber.


    8. Handcuff Day Citizens wake up to find themselves handcuffed together, and no key nor force will unlock that lock!


    9. Truth or Dare Affected citizens are compelled to play every preteen girl's favorite slumber party game for a day.


    10. [Not] Awesome Powers Today, affected citizens have...new powers! ...Amazingly useless ones.
