Hey, Polychromatids! Because today marks the SIX MONTH ANNIVERSARY of the closing of the game, let's have a last hurrah in the form of a player/character reunion meme!

Yes, really: a gamewide cookbook, made by players, for players, for eating. Simple as that! We had this meme ages ago--like, seriously, it was back on LJ (and if you want to see the original, just look right here) and, well, Plurk conversations happened and now it's back!

This is more of a project than a meme, so consider it on-going. I will do my best to keep the table updated (so check back for a bigger list!)

It's a meme oh my god!

We can't thread out every detail of our characters lives. That's time consuming, not to mention it'd get super boring. But in this City, people are bound to bump into each other off the network and interact. Whether it's running to people in the bar and striking up a conversation, or meeting someone to run errands or even trading recipes, there are random interactions that happen that can easily be handwaved.

So, here's how this works. Post with your character and a general rundown of where they can be found on any given day. Nothing too heavily detailed, just a quick post. Others will reply to your thread with potential CR (OH, HEY MY CHARACTER FREQUENTS THE GYM/LIBRARY/CRAFT STORE, TOO) and build that handwaved CR.

Because handwaving is magic.

AUs are fun, right? Sure they are. You might even say they're golden (ha ha oh funny chemistry joke yes). Well, then. Let's go for some golden AU speculation opportunities.

HOW IT WORKS:

Option 1:
→ Ever dreamed up an AU for one of your characters? Awesome. Share it in a comment! I wanna read it!

Option 2:
→ Comment with your character(s)
→ Reply to other comments with requests/ideas for an AU (eg: "Your character's canon is now a rock band-centric canon, with musical characters, so how does that work?" or "Your character's canon, but a pirate AU!" or "Classic highschool AU!" or even "What if [XYZ canon event] never happened?")
→ Reply to those requests with how such an AU might work--who's in what role, how would canon events translate, what happens next? TL;DR away!

Option 3:

poly_chromatic? Well, wonder no more! Welcome to the test drive meme! Here's how this is gonna roll.

Start a thread with your test drive character! You know the drill, just mark the character's name and canon in the comment subject, and/or...

Tag around to other people's threads! Play it like your character has just arrived in the City, as if you've already met, or...

Pick from the list below - or use an RNG if you prefer - to hit a character with one of the City's curses! Is one character cursed? Both? Are they cursed with the same or different curses? That's all up to you!
1. Did It Hurt When You Fell From Heaven? Whether they're suave, awkward, good, or just plain horrible, citizens find themselves unable to stop speaking in the language of pickup lines.
2. Average Joe Day Those in the City with supernatural skills or powers, suddenly find themselves quite normal.
3. My Dirty Little Secret The one thing a character never wanted anyone to know is the one thing they feel compelled to talk about all day.
4. 5 7 5 Citizens will find themselves speaking only in the 5-7-5 syllable format.
5. Caffeinated Day All affected citizens will find that any liquid they drink has much more caffeine than usual.
6. It’s a Boat, it’s a Bug, it’s Ours Citizens realize they’ve given birth to a child, regardless of their sex - only the child is an object, which they treat as if they were their own flesh and blood.
7. Sing and Shout! Citizens burst into song of pop, rock, opera, or musical caliber.
8. Handcuff Day Citizens wake up to find themselves handcuffed together, and no key nor force will unlock that lock!
9. Truth or Dare Affected citizens are compelled to play every preteen girl's favorite slumber party game for a day.
10. [Not] Awesome Powers Today, affected citizens have...new powers! ...Amazingly useless ones.
